5 Myths about CBD

5 Myths about CBD

When it comes to CBD there is so much information and so many so called CBD Experts out there that it can be hard to get the right facts.

Here are the 5 biggest myths about CBD

1. CBD is illegal

One of the biggest misconceptions about CBD is that it is illegal. This couldn’t be further from the truth as CBD is made from Industrial Hemp which is naturally low in THC.

Because CBD is non psychoactive it is legal in most of the modern world once it meets certain standards. In Europe all CBD products must have less than 0.2% THC which is required under EU Law and less than 0.3% in the USA.

2. CBD makes you intoxicated

Another big myth about CBD is that it can get you high or intoxicated if you take enough of it. Some people are even worried that it might effect your ability to do ever days tasks like driving a car.

The good news is CBD does not have any intoxicating affect and will NEVER get you high. You literally have a better chance of meeting a herd of Unicorns before you will get high from CBD.

3. CBD is not safe

CBD is completely safe to use and even safer than most things you can buy over the counter in a pharmacy. Not only is CBD made from hemp which is organically grown as hemp doesn’t require herbicides and pesticides.

One of the unique things about CBD is that it is non-toxic and it is near impossible to overdose. In order for CBD to be toxic to your system, you would have to ingest almost 20,000 mg of CBD oil in a very short amount of time, according to a 2011 study published in the journal Current Drug Safety. By comparison most CBD users will consume no more than 100mg of CBD through the course of an entire day.

4. CBD is addictive

FALSE. CBD is not addictive, so you don’t have to worry about getting hooked on our CBD gummies.

The World Health Organisation have even confirmed CBD is safe to use. A 27 page report published by the World Health Organisation (WHO) on CBD confirms that not only is not dangerous, it is also not addictive. This report, which focussed solely on cannabidiol (CBD), represents a huge leap forward in dispelling past misunderstandings surrounding the cannabinoid. 5. CBD and Hemp Oil are the same thing

Although CBD and Hemp seed oil all come from the same plant there is a big difference between the two.

To start Hemp seed oil is made from the seeds of the Hemp plant which are then cold pressed to make the oil. The main difference between to CBD is it does not contain any Cannabinoids. Hemp seed oil is used more as a salad dressing and is high in Omega 3&6 and Vitamin A&E.

CBD on the other hand is made from the flower of Hemp plants which is then processed to extract the Cannabinoids which are used to make balms, gummies and tinctures.
